This Regulation enters into force on 1 September 2016.
Résumé

This Regulation, consisting of 235 sections divided into eleven Parts, implements the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Act, 1994. The Regulation establishes the safety requirements to be met by all ships, including fishing vessels, and provides for the following matters: Safety equipment for Queensland regulated ships; Registration of Queensland regulated ships and related matters; Licences to operate particular Queensland regulated ships; Ship operations; Authorities, marine licences and marine licence indicators; Pilotage areas, compulsory pilotage areas and pilots; Marine zones; Other matters about marine safety, etc. The Regulation is completed by nine Schedules, dealing with: Coastal bars; Pilotage areas; Compulsory pilotage areas; Responsible pilotage entities; Marine zones; Fees, charges and dues; Partially smooth waters; Smooth waters; Dictionary.
