Résumé This Act, consisting of 36 sections, establishes the requirements to be met in order to request and obtain a licence for Trade Organizations. A licensed and registered trade organization shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal and may acquire, purchase, take, hold and enjoy movable and immovable property of every description and may convey, assign, surrender, yield up, charge, mortgage, demise, re-assign, transfer or otherwise dispose of or deal with, any movable or immovable property or any interest vested in it, upon such terms as it deems fit. A licensed trade organization shall require renewal of its licence every five years. Application for renewal of licence shall be made to the Regulator ninety days prior to the expiry of licence: Provided that the Regulator, on sufficient cause being shown, by an order in writing, may extend the period not exceeding thirty days. No licence shall be granted for registration under the Ordinance to a trade organization unless it is a Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized to represent the women entrepreneurs engaged in trade, industry or services in each administrative division.
