For the purpose of the present Act “drainage work” means a drainage system constructed of tile, pipe or tubing of any material beneath the surface of agricultural land, including integral inlets and outlets, for the purpose of improving the productivity of the land drained. The text - consisting of 14 sections – deals, amongst others, with the following aspects: borrowing powers of municipalities, deposit with Minister of Finance, offer to sell debentures, application by owner for loan, discretion of Council, appointment of inspector, amount of debentures, terms on which council shall lend money, repayment where land use is changed and expenditure.
