Sujet Mer Mot clé Zone marine Mer territoriale Souveraineté Aire géographique Asie et Pacifique, Australie et Nouvelle-Zélande, Océanie, Pacifique Sud Résumé This Act declares that the application of any Laws in force in Norfolk Island shall extend to territorial waters. “Territorial waters” shall be that part of the sea adjacent to the territory of Norfolk Island that is within 12 nautical miles of a territorial sea baseline for the territory as determined by Proclamation under section 7 of the Commonwealth of Australia Seas and Submerged Lands Act 1973. In the absence of such Proclamation, “territorial waters” means that part of the sea adjacent to the Territory of Norfolk Island that is within 12 nautical miles of the coastline of the Territory at low-water. “Low-water” means the lowest astronomical tide.
