Résumé

This Act concerns the prevention of the theft of any agricultural produce or any animal or bird mentioned in section 278 of the Penal Code and including the meat, hide or skin or any part of any such animal or bird. A court passing sentence of conviction of theft of stock or produce may, unless the fine is paid within the time limited by the court for payment, issue a warrant for the levy of the fine by distress and sale. The Provincial Commissioner may endorse the warrant to such extent as he or she may deem fit for execution against the property and may execute the warrant in accordance with this Act. Illegal possession of produce or stock is declared to be an offence. A magistrate may order the execution of a bond by persons or group of persons likely to commit a theft.
