The regulation contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms employed therein, such as, “existing”, “licence”, “South Saskatchewan River Basin”, “South Saskatchewan River Sub-basin”, etc. Section 4 establishes that the total amount of water allocated for irrigation purposes from the river basins must not exceed the amount required for the irrigation of the total area of land specified for the irrigation district. The text consists of 9 sections. One Schedule dealing with special areas water supply project is enclosed.
