Résumé The present Regulations enact the Public Health Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the control of pollution. The Regulations apply within shoreland development areas, and specifically to: a) buildings and other structures erected, constructed or placed in a shoreland development area; and b) extensions, enlargements and reconstructions of existing buildings and other structures; and c) buildings and structures in a shoreland development area where a nuisance has been created, or ground or surface water is being or is in danger of being polluted by reason of the existence of those buildings or structures; and d) to the persons in control of those buildings and structures. The text – consisting of 24 sections – deals, inter alia. with the following matters: solid wastes, no disposal of sewage, plumbing system not connected to public sewage works, tanks and vaults, disposal, ground filters and offence and penalty.
