Résumé

The present regulations provide for the enforcement of sections 25 and 29 of the Wilderness and Ecological Reserves Act. In particular, they lay down provisions relating to ecological reserves of seabirds. They contain at the outset a definition clause referring to certain terms therein employed, such as “animal”, “camp”, “commercial fishing”, “hunt”, “management plan”, “reserve”, “structure”, “tourboat”, “wildlife”. Section 3 enables the Minister to issue a permit or other written authorization that allows certain activities to be carried on in a reserve, subject to the restrictions imposed by these regulations and the Act. Section 4 establishes that commercial and recreational fishing in accordance with other applicable legislation is permitted within the marine waters of a reserve. Moreover, angling in accordance with other applicable legislation is also permitted. The text consists of 11 sections of which the most important ones are: Permits and licences (3); Fishing permitted (4); Restrictions (5); Operation of boat (6); Operation of aircraft (7); Domestic animal (8); Tourboat (9); Exception (10). One Schedule is enclosed.
