Résumé

Adopted under the Fisheries Act 1982, these Regulations lay down the scheme of Management of the Tuna Fishery in South Australia. They provide that no person shall at the same time be the holder of more than one fishery licence; or be the holder of a fishery licence and have an interest in another fishery licence or have an interest in more than one fishery licence. They specify the classes of fishing activities which constitute a fishery. Such activities include the taking of tuna and salmon and any act preparatory to or involved in the taking of such fish; and further lay down detailed rules regarding applications for licences, fishing fees, conditions for the transfer of licences, supply of information on catch, number of days at sea and other information on the type of level of fishing effort. The Schedule specifies the information to be furnished when a fishery licence is being applied for.
