Résumé

This Chapter prescribes that it shall be unlawful for any person to operate or open any commercial establishment or activity as a food service establishment, temporary food service establishment, mobile food service establishment or vending machine, as defined in Chapter 23 of the same Title or any food establishment as defined in Chapter 24 of the same Title without a valid sanitary permit issued by the Director of the Department of Public Health and Social Services. For other specified activities a permit is required as well. The Director shall promulgate Regulations as relative to sanitary aspects of activities involving food. Whenever the Director makes an inspection and discovers that any of the applicable law or rule has been violated, he or she shall notify the permit holder and require corrective action. Other provisions concern revocation of permits and other enforcement measures.
