The task of the State sanitary supervision shall be to issue hygienic authorization for import of alimentary raw materials and foodstuffs after evaluation of the compliance thereof with the established sanitary and hygienic requirements. Hygienic authorization shall be issued by the state sanitary and epidemiological supervision bodies along with the issuance of certificate. Import contracts must contain quality indices of foodstuffs and the conditions of transportation, storage and trade. Hygienic authorization for import of infant food, food additives, liquors and hygienic expertise thereof shall be carried out by the Ministry of Public Health. Each lot of imported alimentary raw materials and foodstuffs shall be accompanied by quality certificate, analysis report, veterinary certificate (for products of animal origin) issued by the exporter and certificate of origin issued by the state veterinary service of the exporting country.
