Résumé

This Act provides that no person shall deal in licensable produce without a licence. “Licensable produce” includes mace, nutmegs, kola nuts, tonca beans, and rubber, and such other article of produce as the President, by Order, may include in the definition. A licence to deal in licensable produce shall be granted by the District Magistrate in the form set out as Form B in the Schedule. A person aggrieved by any decision of a Magistrate as to granting, refusing or cancelling of a licence, may appeal with the High Court. The Act also sets out rules of conduct for licensed dealers and defines offences.
