Safe Containers Convention Act (R.S.C. 1985, c. S-1).

The present Act implements the International Convention for Safe Containers of 11 September 1979. In particular, the Act provides for the correct and efficient application of the afore-mentioned Convention. To this end the Minister may nominate inspection who are allowed to go on board to verify that the container carries a valid Safety Approval Plate as required by the Convention. The text consists of 14 sections and 2 Annexes.
