Résumé

Under section 1, the purposes of this Act are to provide for the constitution, powers and functions of the Rural Finance Corporation of Victoria; and to provide for the administration of the remaining leases, mortgages, contracts of sale and other interests created under the Land Settlement Act 1959 and the Soldier Settlement Act 1958. Functions of the Corporation include: to provide financial and other services to rural industries; on the direction of the Treasurer, to administer State and Commonwealth schemes of assistance or other schemes; to bring together and co-ordinate financial resources for investment in rural industries; and to provide services and advice to government with regard to rural affairs and rural industries.
