This Regulation enters into force on 19 August 2011.
Résumé

This Regulation, consisting of four Parts and completed by 35 Schedules, implements the Rural Adjustment Authority Act 1994. Part 2 deals with the approval of schemes, specifying that each scheme set out in each of schedules 1 to 15 and 17 to 26 is approved under section 11 of the Act. The objective of the scheme is to provide assistance that will: (a) strengthen the economy of Queensland regions; and (b) facilitate the development of sustainable primary production in Queensland. Application of scheme (1) The scheme consists of the following programs: (a) the first start program; (b) the sustainability program. (2) An applicant may apply for assistance under more than 1 program. It does not apply to: a) refinancing existing business loans or equipment finance; b) purchasing new equipment or other assets.
