Under section 3, the objectives of the Act include: The objective of this Act is to establish a body, the Queensland Rural Adjustment Authority, to deliver financial and other assistance primarily targeted at fostering the development of a more productive rural sector. Part 2 concerns the establishment, functions and powers of the Authority. Part 3 provides for financial assistance schemes, Part 4 concerns the operation of the Authority and Part 5 its staff. Part 6 contains miscellaneous provisions and Part 7 contains provisions on savings, transition and validation.
