Résumé

The Order consists of 16 articles. Article 1 prescribes to be a "fishing licence" a booklet carrying all information regarding the fishing vessel itself and gear. This Order applies to both professional and amateurish fishing licences. The fishing licences categories (art. 2) are distinguished in "type A" referring to marine fisheries licences and "type B" referring to inland waters fishing licences. Responsible for issuing of such licenses (article 3) are the competent authorities (described in this article) upon request of the vessel owner. The effect of fishing licenses (art.4) is for two (2) years. Once a fishing vessel obtains a licence then has the right to fish in the entire national territory and into the fishing areas in which fishing is permitted. Articles 5 to 9 deal with administrative procedures for renewing, loss and replacement, suspension of fishing licences. Articles 10 to 13 specify the requirements of vessels in order to obtain a fishing licence using a specific fishing gear. Article 14 deals with fishing beyond the Greek territorial waters: a fishing vessel has the permission to do so only after a special licence issued by the central port authority and after approval by the Minister of Industry. The effect of such license is one (1) year. Article 15 set penalties for trespassers and article 16 lists down legislation being abrogated by this Order.
