Résumé

This Chapter provides for measures to control rodents. Section 1 requires owners or occupants of premises to adopt adequate measures of eradication of rodents if necessary, to prevent keeping of loose foodstuffs, garbage, forage and other material which may serve as food or as hiding for rodents, etc. Section 2 formulates the obligation of owner or lessee of unoccupied building or vacant lot. To keep the land and buildings in a sanitary condition, free from all rubbish, garbage, waste and filth of any kind. All weeds and grass on such premises, including any area between the property line and the road, shall be maintained so as to avoid a breeding place for rodents. The Director of the Department of Public Health and Social Services shall take any action necessary to prevent the introduction to Guam of plague infected rodents, and shall enforce the international quarantine regulations relative to the control of rodents at the commercial port, airport and for all vessels and other water craft arriving on Guam.
