Moreover, a distributor or dealer shall be exempted from the provisions of this Act by the Minister in case such distributor or dealer has in place an adequate system for the recycling of beverage containers. Any entity that sells beverages for use off-site in containers covered by this Act must accept any qualifying empty container and provide the refund value. If beverage containers returned to the distributor are unusable or unused, they must be disposed of in accordance with Health Services (Collection and Disposal of Refuse) Regulations, 1975.
