Résumé

This National Sanitary Surveillance Board Resolution approves the Technical Regulation establishing the minimum requirements for identity, composition, quality and safety to which infant food formulas must comply with. This Regulation, consisting of 45 articles divided into six Chapters, applies to infant food formulas in liquid or powder form intended for use where necessary to meet the nutritional requirements of healthy infants. Only products that meet the criteria established in this regulation are accepted for commercialization and presentation as infant food formulas. Infant food formulas whose composition and labelling meet the criteria set out in this Resolution and the technical regulation on follow-up infant food formulas may also be indicated for infants over six months of age and/or infants. Annex specifies essential and semi-essential amino acids in human milk and Annex lists the content of vitamins, minerals and other substances.
