Résumé This Regulation determines the procedure for conducting head count of game animals by users of hunting grounds, local executive and administrative bodies or legal entities specially authorized thereby. Accounting method shall be intended a set of works to establish the number of game animals in accordance with one of the technologies for their registration. Accepted number of game animals of a certain species shall be intended the number of game animals of a given species living in a certain territory of hunting grounds, as of a specified date based on obtained accounting results. Prior to the beginning of the accounting: (a) the organization carrying out accounting issues an order on the organization and conducting accounting, which indicates: accounting methods and species of game animals subject to accounting for each accounting method; the person responsible for organizing and conducting accounting (the responsible official); and (b) the responsible official prepares and issues to all the persons concerned the necessary for organizing and conducting training documents, providing instructions on the methodology and particulars of accounting. Accounting is carried out for: (a) regulated species of game animals and wolves - annually; (b) capercaillie and black grouse when planning their removal - in the spring on mating grounds in the year preceding the planning of hunting period; (c) trophy male red deer when planning their hunting – during rutting in the year preceding the planning of hunting in rutting areas; and (d) non-regulated species of game animals, with the exception of the wolf - once every four years. The number of accounting methods used for game animals: (a) regulated species - at least two accounting methods; and (b) non-regulated species of game animals - one of the accounting methods. The accounting method used is determined independently by organizations carrying out accounting. Based on the obtained accounting results, is calculated the number of game animals and a statement of the accepted number is drawn according to the form contained in the Annex.
