It consists of five articles: General provisions (1); Customs control of cross-border movement of living GMOs (2); Cooperation between the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Georgia and the Internal Revenue Service of Georgia (the customs authority of Georgia) (3); Identification of living GMOs subject to customs control (4); and Repeated and referential sampling of GMOs for laboratory assessment (5). Notably, the Resolution does not apply to belongings of a diplomat, mailed packages and personal luggage unless there is information that the product may be a GMO.
