Résumé The aim of this Resolution is to protect public health and the environment. The present Resolution is composed of 17 articles and 2 Tables. Article 1 deals with terms and definitions. Articles 2-4 specify the objectives and scope of this Resolution. Article 5 decrees the total ban on the importation of prohibited chemical substances. Article 9 bans the importation and use of prohibited and severely restricted chemical substances without a previous licence. Articles 10-12 specify the obligations of importers and users of prohibited and severely restricted chemical substances, and in particular the registration and reporting of the aforementioned materials. Article 14 pertains to the revocation of licences. Article 16 contains offences and penalties. Table I contains the prohibited chemical substances.
