Article 1 defines sanitary and technical requirements and conditions for laboratories producing veterinary vaccines, which are: (a) to respect the rules of the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP); (b) to provide suitable humidity, ventilation, heat and lighting; (c) to separate the structure for the production of vaccines from the administration building; (d) to prevent the entry of animals and insects in laboratories; (e) to gather waste and refuse in closed containers; (f) to clean and disinfect laboratories; (g) to prohibit eating, drinking and smoking in laboratories; (h) workers must change their clothes and wear clean clothes as well as bathe every day; (i) workers must be disease-free; (j) to sterilize equipment and instruments; (k) to inspect and control laboratories; (l) to attach a label with all necessary information; (m) to define requirements for packages; (n) to write the date and signature of the person responsible for the production; (o) to record all vaccines; and (p) to fix an expiry date. The laboratory must be subordinated to a laboratory animal-breeding unit (art. 3). Article 4-7 provide for requirements and conditions for laboratories producing the following vaccines: poultry vaccines; virus vaccines; bacterial vaccines; and parasitic vaccines.
