Résumé

This Resolution, comprised of six articles, authorizes the importation of fruits from the citrus and almond family, as well as mango, guava, papaya, and figs. However, it is a requirement that these fruits are accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate or additional declaration. The certificate must affirm the following: (i) the fruit originates from a country and area free from fruit flies, adhering to the standards set by the International Plant Protection Convention; (ii) the fruit is cultivated on a site under the supervision of the National Plant Protection Organization, with no indications of fruit fly presence in the surrounding areas throughout the entire growth period; (iii) the production site implements integrated agricultural measures for pest risk management of fruit flies; and (iv) before export, the fruit undergoes the prescribed treatments for controlling fruit flies.
