Résumé This Resolution is composed of 8 articles. Article 2 deals with the establishment and composition of the Joint Committee on Climate Change. Articles 2 and 3 define aims and competencies of the Committee, in particular to: lay down the national strategy for climate change and clean development; monitor and control all activities, projects, and programmes related to the climate change; prepare the national report of the kingdom in accordance with requirements of the Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol; develop and modernize legislations related to the environment, climate change and clean development mechanism; realize harmony and integration between climate change requirements and necessities for the economic and social development; realize maximum advantages from the clean development mechanism; solidify the participation of the Kingdom in international and regional conferences and meetings related to the environment and climate change; increase consciousness and awareness in matters related to climate change and environment; and, find an effective, efficient and transparent method for the evaluation and approval of projects regarding the clean development mechanism. Articles 4 to 7 provide for the management and internal organization of the Committee.
