Résumé This Resolution aims to maintain the quality and the safety of imported frozen poultry and to protect the consumer. It regulates the import of frozen poultry meat and poultry products directly from the country of origin. Foreign producers wanting to export their products to Lebanon shall register in the Directorate of Livestock. A recent HACCP or an ISO22000 are necessary to this aim. The packaging, labelling and the transport procedures are specified in the text. The import of chilled poultry meat is forbidden. Further requirements are needed for the import of meat slaughtered in the Islamic way (halal). The Resolution concludes with a sample of commitment to the Ministry of Agriculture.
