Article 1 defines the Bees Acarapis Woodi Epidemic which is caused by a parasite called Acarapis Woodi. Article 3 deals with field and laboratory diagnosis methods and analysis sampling. Article 4 deals with measures to be taken once the existence of the disease in a beehive has been ascertained which are: (a) prohibition to transport or transfer afflicted groups; (b) requirements and conditions for burning the affected groups by using methods adopted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation; (c) treatment of all groups at the beginning of spring and autumn after the picking and harvest season by using the adopted materials by the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation; (d) use of other treatments during the year when necessary; (e) prohibition to use the same medicine for fear of immunity; (f) not carrying out the treatment of the groups during the nectar collection season; and, (g) prohibition to transport or transfer instruments and equipment from the afflicted beehive to other beehives. The Technical Controllers shall have the responsibility for carrying out the aforementioned measures (art. 5). Transgressors shall be punished by applying the provisions of the Animal Resources Protection Law (art. 7). Texte intégral Arabe
