This Resolution enters into force on 5 January 2017.
Résumé

This Resolution approves the Statute of the Initiative Community Land Foundation (iTC-F). This Statute, consisting of 5 Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Land Foundation, entitled to: manage conflicts related to lands and other natural resources; promote the participation of communities in the benefits arising from the exploitation of land and other natural resources; support for processes aimed at guaranteeing the rights of land and other natural resources of local communities, including the delimitation and demarcation of lands of local communities, associations and cooperatives; to promote the sustainable use of land and other natural resources by local communities based, inter alia, on compliance with environmental measures, etc. This legal entity aims to contribute to the development of local, rural and urban communities, for the well-being of vulnerable households and for peace and social stability, through the promotion of land rights and other local natural resources, the sustainable use of these resources and the equitable and inclusive sharing of the benefits coming from their exploitation. The Statute is divided as follows: General provisions (Chap. I); Composition (Chap. II); Structure (Chap. III); Assets, funds and revenues (Chap. IV); Final provisions (Chap. V).
