Résumé This Resolution is composed 16 articles. The coastal strip parallel to Yemeni coasts along 3 nautical miles from the low tide is to be considered a protected zone (art. 1). Fishing by vessels with engine power more than 250 horses in the abovementioned zone is prohibited (art. 2). Vessels with engine power more than 250 horses and less than 1500 horses are allowed to fish in the zone further than 3 nautical miles (art. 3). Prohibition to fish for vessels with engine power more than 1500 horses in the coastal strip of 6 nautical miles (art. 4). Prohibition to fish for vessels with engine power more than 3000 horses in the coastal strip of 12 nautical miles (art. 5). Prohibition to fish tuna into 12 nautical miles from the low tide (art. 6). Conditions and requirements for vessels with engine power less than 900 horses in the zone outside of 3 nautical miles are given in article 7. All vessels must possess the Navigation Certificate (Registration) before practising their activities as well as they shall have the correct system for oil discharge (art. 9). All vessels must respect the lighting system and marking (art. 10). All vessels are subject to the inspection (art. 11). All national companies, foreign companies, cooperatives and individuals must respect the mesh sizes of nets (art. 12). Definition of mesh sizes for different nets (art. 13).
