Résumé This Resolution approves the National Strategic Plan for the Development of Tourism in Cape Verde for the period 2010-2013. The Resolution, consisting of 3 Parts, is a tool to be used for the communication, orientation and coordination of different public and private stakeholders that are involved in the development of sustainable tourism. The Strategy aims at the following objectives: identifying the touristic potentialities of the country; identifying areas to be improved and areas that are blocking sustainable development of tourism in the country; defining and communicating the National strategic development baseline, elaborated by the Government; establishing policies and strategic directives for action programmes aiming at reaching previously defined objectives related to tourism sector, as well as identifying necessary resources for implementing those objectives and establishing efficient mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the final results. The Strategy is divided as follows: Approach and metodology (Part I); The industry of tourism in Cape Verde (Part II); Vision, strategies and action programmes for tourism (Part III).
