Résumé

This Resolution provides for the minimum safe manning of ships under Georgian state flag. It consists of eleven articles: General provisions (1); Definitions (2); Scope of applications (3); Main purposes of the minimum safe manning (4); Terms for the minimum safe manning (5); Special requirements imposed on the minimum safe manning (6); Duties of the vessel owner (7); Procedure for issuing the certificate for the minimum safe manning (8); Validity period, extension of the validity period, and amendments of the certificate (9); Information that needs to included in the certificate (10); and Certificate fee (11). The Resolution also includes Annex No. 1: Table No. 1 – Deck section of vessels engaged in international navigation; Table No. 2 – Deck section of fishing vessels engaged in international navigation; Table No. 3 – Deck sections of fishing vessels and fishing boats engaged in domestic and coastal navigation; Table No. 4 – Deck section of fishing vessels engaged in domestic navigation; Table No. 5 - Deck section of passenger vessels involved in domestic navigation; Table No. 6 - Deck section of non-engine barge engaged in domestic navigation; Table No. 7 – Pilotage boat; Table No. 8 – Deck sections of yachts (sail or engine), pleasure tenders, pleasure crafts that are engaged in international navigation; Table 9 – Deck sections of yachts (sail or engine), pleasure tenders, pleasure boats that are involved in domestic navigation; Annex No. 2 – (1) Minimum Safe Manning Certificate for vessels 100 GT and more engaged in international navigation; (2) Minimum Safe Manning Certificate for fishing vessels engaged in international navigation; (3) Minimum Safe Manning Certificate for fishing vessels engaged in near coastal/domestic navigation; (1) Minimum Safe Manning Certificate for vessels 100 GT and more engaged in domestic navigation; (4) Minimum Safe Manning Certificate for passenger ships 100 GT and more engaged in domestic navigation; (5) Minimum Safe Manning Certificate for Yacht, Pleasure Crafts, Pleasure Tenders 100 GT and more engaged in domestic or international navigation.
