This Resolution enters into force on 13 November 2001.
Résumé

This Resolution implements to the Republic of Angola the 1990 International Convention on Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Co-operation (OPRC 90). The Parties undertake, individually or jointly, to take all appropriate measures in accordance with the provisions of this Convention in order to prepare for and combat an oil pollution incident. The Annex to this Convention shall constitute its integral part and any reference to this Convention shall at the same time constitute a reference. This Convention shall not apply to warships, auxiliary warships, any other vessel which is owned or operated by a State and used at that time solely for the purpose of non-commercial public service. However, each Party shall ensure, by appropriate measures that do not hinder the operations or operational capability of such ships owned or operated by them, that such ships proceed to the extent possible and reasonably consistent with this convention.
