It consists of 11 articles: General provisions (1); Goals and objectives of the technical regulation (2); Definition of terms (3); Competent bodies (4); Maximum permitted levels of sulphur in heavy fuel and gasoil (5); Permitted limits of sulphur in maritime fuel used by vessels in the territorial sea of Georgia, the EEZ, the pollution control zones, including SOx emission control zones (6); Maximum permitted levels of sulphur in maritime fuel used by vessels located near the harbors (7); Maximum permitted levels of sulphur in maritime diesel and gasoil (8); Requirements imposed against vessels sailing in the territorial sea of Georgia (9); Local supplier of maritime fuel (10); and Methods for selection and analysis of liquid fuel samples (11). The goals of the technical regulation are protection of the ambient air, public life, public health, property and the environment from the impact of burning liquid fuel.
