This Resolution provides for reorganization of the Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara and creation of the Testing and Certification Centre. The Resolution also adopts the charter of the Centre. The charter consists of 12 articles: General provisions (1); Goals and objectives of the Centre (2); Rights and obligations of the Centre (3); Management of the Centre (4); State control of the Centre (5); Structure of the Centre (6); Activities of the Centre which require authorization (7); Property of the Centre (8); Finances of the Centre (9); Accounting by the Centre (10); Amendments and additions to the charter of the Centre (11); and Liquidation of the Centre (12). The Centre undertakes assessments and research of drinking water, surface waters, effluent water, seawater, basins, reservoir water, food/feed and raw materials of plant and animal origin (meat and meat products, milk and dairy products, preserves, alcoholic, low alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cereals, etc.), samples for organoleptic, chemical, physical, toxicological, bacteriological, virologic, serological, parasitological, veterinary-sanitary, radiometric and spectrometric examinations in accordance with normative-technical documentation; research of pathological material when discovering zoo/anthro-ponotic diseases common to both humans and animals; research of plant quarantine and other harmful organisms; chemical, toxicological, bacteriological, parasitological, radiometric research of soil and determining its fertility; determining the content of active substances of agrochemicals and hazardous chemicals in accordance with normative-technical documentation; aerodynamic, physical-chemical, toxicological, bacteriological and radiometric research of the ambient air, the air in working zones, residential places and other places; and other functions provided for under the law.
