The zone of Jabal Albal’as illustrated in the attached map shall be considered a protected area (art. 1). Objectives of this Resolution are the following: wildlife and biodidiversity protection; plant protection; halt the destruction of natural and environmental resources; studies and scientific research; soil consolidation; and, the technical control on all kinds of investments (art. 2). The First zone (Core Area) is to be subject to a severe and firm protection system and shall be destined to the biodiversity (flora and fauna) (art. 3). The Second zone (Buffer Zone) shall be destined to the cultivation of medical plants, grassing plants, ornamental plants, wildlife breeding and the study of plant covering and greenhouses (art. 4). The Third zone shall be considered a joint zone with inhabitants for common activities (art. 5). Article 6 deals with the management of the Protected zone.
