It is composed of 3 articles. Article decrees the application of all requirements and conditions provided for in Resolution No. 301 of 2006 concerning the importation of red meat. Article 2 defines requirements and conditions for the adoption of slaughterhouses by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform in Syria, which are: slaughterhouse shall be authorized and subject to the veterinary control and inspection in the country of origin; slaughtering shall be carried out in respect of the Sharia (Law of Islam); operations of slaughtering, cutting, preparation, cooling and freezing shall be carried out in the same slaughterhouse; slaughterhouses shall apply the system HACCP; and, documents shall contain licences, sites , addresses of slaughterhouses.
