The zone of Wad Aljammal located in the Red Sea province, as defined in the attached map, is to be considered a protected area (art. 1). The Environmental Affairs Apparatus shall be in charge of the competences provided for in Laws No. 102 of 1983 and No. 4 of 1994 concerning protected areas (art. 2). Any works, activities, behaviours which may destroy, damage or worsen the ecosystem, wildlife, marine environment, plants, etc. shall be prohibited. These include: hunting, killing, disturb animals and living-marine animals; destroying and transporting plants; destroying or changing the ecosystem; introducing other species of animals, plants, micro-living beings; polluting the soil, water or air; starting of agricultural, commercial, industrial and tourist activities without pre-authorization from the Environmental Affairs Apparatus (art. 3). The Prefect of the Red Sea province shall control the implementation of this Resolution (art. 5).
