Résumé This Resolution establishes the requirements for mandatory declaration of the presence of lactose on food labels. It applies to food, including beverages, ingredients, food additives and technology adjuvants, packaged in the absence of consumers, including those intended exclusively for industrial processing and for food services. This Resolution applies in a complementary manner to the Resolution RDC No. 259 of 20 September 2002 approving the technical regulations for the labelling of packaged food. This Resolution does not apply to the following products: I - packaged food which are prepared or broken down and marketed in the establishment itself; II - food packaged at points of sale at the request of the consumer; III - food sold without packaging; and IV - food for diets with lactose restriction.
