No person shall, subject to the provisions of subregulation (2), sell fat spreads in the Republic of South Africa unless the fat spreads comply with the quality standards and packing and labelling requirements set out in these Regulations and are free from impurities and adulterants. The Regulations also provide for sampling and analysis and prescribe penalties for an offence committed under these Regulations.
