Résumé The aim of this Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food is to ensure adequate protection of animals during and after the experiments. When choosing the method of killing animals it is necessary to ensure that the process causes the minimum excitement, pain or suffering. The authorized method of killing animals is specified for individual species and listed in the Annex. Equipment for killing animals should be designed, built, maintained and used in the manner to achieve quick execution. Disposal of carcasses of experimental animals must be conducted in accordance with regulations governing animal by-products not intended for human consumption.
