The Regulation provides for reporting by issuing bodies to the Food Safety Authority and provides for the carrying out of identification measures at the national level (by veterinaries and the passport issuing body). The Regulation also concerns the obligation of veterinarians or animal owners to report in case animals of the equine family are treated with medications that are not allowed to be used for horses intended for human consumption in accordance with Regulation No. 50 2007 on the use of medicines for animals (§ 4 and § 5).
