Résumé This Regulation prescribes the code of good agricultural practice. The code of good agricultural practice is the application of knowledge in the use of natural resources, i.e. a set of rules that is directly applied by the owner or user of agricultural land with the aim of maintaining agricultural land suitable for agricultural production and sustainable in terms of necessary grade of environmental protection that has to be applied. The owner, that is, the user of agricultural land, maintains the agricultural land suitable for agricultural production and protects the environment by applying agro-technical and amelioration measures with the aim of: 1) maintaining the fertility of agricultural land; 2) prevention of degradation of agricultural land and protection against erosion; 3) reduction of greenhouse gas emissions caused by agricultural production; 4) reducing the risk of contamination of agricultural land and groundwater with pollutants from agricultural production with nitrates and phosphates, originating from plant nutrition; 5) preventing the appearance of abandoned agricultural land; 6) preservation of landscape features; 7) correct use of land temporarily prohibited for agricultural production and its marking.
