Expropriation of land of “Taganay national park” shall be prohibited and immovable property and objects of historical and cultural heritage located on its territory shall not be subject to privatization. The following main tasks are assigned to the national park: (a) preservation of natural complexes, unique and reference natural sites and objects; (b) preservation of monuments of history, culture and other objects of cultural heritage; (c) environmental education of the population; (d) creation of conditions for full-fledged regulated tourism and recreation of the population, acquaintance with nature, cultural and historical sites; (e) development and implementation of scientific methods for preserving the natural complexes of the Taganay mountain cluster in conditions of recreational use; (f) restoration of damaged natural, historical and cultural complexes and objects; and (g) organization and implementation of environmental monitoring. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of the national park: (a) exploration and mining; (b) disturbance of soil cover; (c) littering of the territory with domestic and non-domestic waste; (d) construction works; (e) allotment of land for gardening and horticulture; (f) main use felling and timber extraction, commercial hunting and commercial fishing, capture of animals and bird not related to scientific research, industrial harvesting of wild growing plants, procurement of soft resin, disturbance of natural habitats of wild fauna and wild flora species, collection of biological collections (without prior authorization by the administration of the national park), introduction of live organisms for acclimatization purposes; (g) movement and parking of motor vehicles not related to the functioning of the national park, passage of livestock outside roads and waterways of general use, rafting of timber; (h) application of toxic chemicals and mineral fertilizers; (i) training of dogs; (j) organization of mass sports and entertainment events, organization of tourist parking lots and making fires outside specially designated places; and (k) stay of citizens in the territory of the national park (with the exception of the local population permanently residing in the territory adjacent to the national park) without a special permit issued by the administration of the national park.
