Résumé The aim of this Regulation is to fight against rinderpest, bluetong virus, epizootic haemorrhagic disease, sheep and goat pox, vesicular stomatitis, exanthema nodularis bovis, African swine fever, classical swine fever, Rift Valley fever. The Regulation sets forth the rules and procedures of precautions to be taken against the diseases listed above and the rules of confirmation of one of these diseases in case of suspicion. Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 emphasises on precautions and confirmation of diseases under different titles such as, notification of disease, precautions to be taken at suspicious focal points where the disease outbreak, precautions to be taken at facilities around suspicious focal points, precautions to be taken at facilities where existence of a disease is confirmed, determination of disease in wild animals, precautions to be taken in case of determination of disease in only one production unit of a facility, epidemiological research and crisis centres. The Regulation further covers provisions on control of animal and animal products’ movements, disinfection, duties and responsibilities of national reference laboratories.
