Résumé Operational groups are permanent functioning structures of state natural reserves set up for the purpose of strengthening protection of protected areas (defined areas of water) and control over the observance of regime of protected areas. Operational groups are formed out of the official of inspections for the protection of protected areas. Operational groups in the process of carrying out their activity do not need authorization of forestry, scientific and other departments of natural reserve, and early warning of the official of natural reserve. The main tasks of the operational groups are fighting poachers and other infringements of the established regime of protected areas, their protection zones and other territories (defined areas of water) subordinated to natural reserve, participation in the extinguishing of forest fires, control over carrying out limited recreational activity, observance of the regime of protected areas by tourists and other persons, including natural reserves’ officials.
