Résumé The objective of this Regulation, which is composed of 22 articles and two Annexes, is to establish the scope and means of providing physical protection of nuclear materials, nuclear installations and radiation facilities, if they contain sources of radiation with significant activity in all modes of their use, construction, decommissioning, during transport and storage of nuclear materials. This Regulation establishes: (1) classification of nuclear materials, nuclear installations and radiation facilities to determine the sources of radiation with significant activity in relation to potential effects in the case of criminal offenses; (2) the extent of mandatory physical protection of nuclear materials, nuclear installations and radiation facilities, if they contain sources of radiation with significant activity; (3) the extent of mandatory physical protection of nuclear material during transport.
