Résumé The present Regulation implements the Ordinance on animal protection (Animal Protection Ordinance) of 7 February 2012. Animals shall be considered to be dangerous, if they constitute a serious threat to the life of people. Dangerous animals include, among others, mammals (big cats, bears, wolves, monkeys), reptiles (lizards, snakes, boas), other poisonous animals, such as scorpions and spiders. The provisions of the present Ordinance apply also to dangerous fish, such as stonefish, lionfish, scorpion fish in public places. Particular care shall be given that unauthorized persons cannot reach into the aquarium. Article 2 establishes that the keeping and commercial trading of dangerous animals require a special authorization. The Veterinary Office issues an authorization after having ensured the safety aspects with the Cantonal Police. The text consists of 14 articles.
