Résumé This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Croatian Law on radiological and nuclear safety, prescribes conditions for the issuance or renewal of a certificate by which a natural person proves his expertise in providing advice on ionizing radiation protection for a particular area, including issues on validity periods and the manner of renewal of such certificates. Areas of interest are including activities in medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine where electrical devices that produce ionizing radiation are used; activities in medicine and veterinary medicine where radioactive sources are used; activities in industry and science where radioactive sources and/or electrical devices that produce ionizing radiation are used; monitoring the state of environment and the environment of engaged facilities; activities for disposal of radioactive waste and used radioactive sources; activities related to the industry in which the residues are generated, and their use, disposal, storage, destruction or recycling. This text transposes the provisions of the Council Directive 2013/59/Euratom laying down basic safety standards for protection against the dangers arising from exposure to ionising radiation, and repealing Directives 89/618/Euratom, 90/641/Euratom, 96/29/Euratom, 97/43/Euratom and 2003/122/Euratom.
