Résumé This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Serbian Law on geological explorations (published in the Official Gazette 44/1995), establishes the criteria on the basis of which the potential of a certain area shall be determined in terms of finding mineral raw materials. The potential of the area in terms of finding solid mineral resources is determined based on the following criteria: 1) metallogenetic and stratigraphic rezoning of the area based on the studied characteristic features; 2) belonging of the area to a certain ore-bearing formation, the carrier of certain types of deposits of mineral raw materials; 3) structural tectonic characteristics (pre-ore and post-ore tectonics); 4) the mineralogical composition of the mineral raw material, its characteristics and character of the distribution of useful and harmful components; 5) technological characteristics of mineral raw materials; 6) hydrogeological and engineering geological characteristics of the area and deposits of mineral raw materials; 7) geological and economic characteristics of the area and potential mineral resources. The potential of the area in terms of finding underground water is determined based on the following criteria: 1) morphological characteristics of the area and the possibility of deposits in them; 2) the belonging of the area to a specific porosity structure, that is, the spatial position of the water-bearing environment in which the deposit is located; 3) hydrogeological parameters and characteristics of the water-bearing environment, and in the case of semi-closed and closed reservoirs and their deposits; 4) characteristics of the underground water regime (inflow, flow, accumulation and outflow); 5) physical and chemical properties of groundwater that determine their usability; 6) geological and economic characteristics of the area and potential mineral resources. The potential of the area in terms of finding oil, condensate and natural gas deposits is determined based on the following criteria: 1) structural-tectonic assemblage and lithostratigraphic characteristics of the sedimentary basin or area; 2) belonging to a certain petroleum-geological province, that is, general petroleum-geological characteristics of the basin or area; 3) existence of parent protective and collector rocks; 4) petrophysical properties of the collector; 5) physical and chemical properties of the fluid; 6) sizes of pressure and temperature; 7) geological and economic characteristics of the area and potential mineral resources. The potential of the area in terms of finding geothermal energy deposits is determined based on the following criteria: 1) morphological characteristics of the area and spatial determination of petrochemical and hydrogeothermal energy collectors; 2) petrochemical or hydrogeothermal parameters and properties of rock masses with the function of hydrogeological insulators, hydrogeological collectors and hydrogeological insulators and collectors; 3) geotemperature regime of the terrain; 4) characteristics of the fluid regime of the carrier of geothermal energy (contact, flow, accumulation and outflow of thermal water, convection and conduction of energy); 5) hydrodynamic characteristics of the deposit; 6) physical and chemical properties of the fluid; 7) geological-economic characteristics of the area and the potential of mineral raw materials.
